Program Design

Surnetics offers a “one-stop-shop” for your product development needs.  Depending on the stage of your product development efforts, Surnetics will develop a program to get your product closer to commercialization.  Our capabilities include:

• Modeling of Liquid Flow:  Surnetics can build a predictive model of your system to determine where the flow issues are and how we can help you solve them.   Our modeling capabilities can also be used to optimize your product design.
• Material and Chemistry Selection:  The Surnetics technology can be used with a wide range of chemistries and materials including most plastics such as polyester, COC, polycarbonate, and polyester as well as metals and glasses.  We will select the optimal chemistry and materials to use with the liquids used in our customer applications.  In addition to their wetting and flow properties, we can also develop coating with additional benefits such as increased durability, biocompatibility, chemical resistance, etc.
• Manufacturing Process Selection:  Based on the features of your system and the materials used in your design as well as other criteria our customers have, Surnetics can determine the proper manufacturing processes to use and how all the steps can be integrated to produce your product.
• Product Testing and Model Validation:  Surnetics has the fabrication and testing capabilities to manufacture and test materials and prototypes, ensuring that the final product matches your performance criteria.
• Customer Manufacturing :  In many cases, customers prefer to manufacture their devices in-house.  The Surnetics technology can be incorporated into your manufacturing process.  With a license for our intellectual property, Surnetics can work with you on equipment selection and manufacturing processes to produce devices with gradient coatings at your facility.
